By registering for an account, ordering services, or otherwise using Velotek, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, you must not use the Service.
Service Availability
Velotek provides Virtual Private Servers (VPS) and related infrastructure services on a best-effort basis. While we strive to maintain reliable, stable, and high-performance services, we do not guarantee any specific uptime, availability, or performance level unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Service interruptions, maintenance, hardware failures, network issues, and other unforeseen events may occur. By using Velotek, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
Data Responsibility
You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of any data stored on your servers. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Velotek does not provide automatic backups.
In the event of hardware failure, software corruption, accidental deletion, or other incidents, data may be permanently lost. While we follow standard hardware replacement and recovery procedures, recovery of lost data cannot be guaranteed.
Billing and Renewals
Velotek services operate on a recurring subscription basis. By ordering a server, you agree to maintain an active subscription for as long as the service remains provisioned.
Payments are currently accepted exclusively via cryptocurrency. Upon placing an order, a unique Bitcoin (BTC) or Monero (XMR) payment address will be generated and displayed in your client area. A corresponding invoice will also be sent to your registered email address.
Initial invoices must be paid within three (3) days. Once payment is confirmed, provisioning typically begins automatically and is usually completed within fifteen (15) minutes. Unpaid orders are automatically cancelled after the payment window expires.
Renewal invoices are generated before the due date and are accompanied by an email notification. A three (3) day grace period is provided for overdue services. If payment is not received before the grace period expires, the affected service may be suspended and permanently deleted.
Wallet Billing
Velotek offers an optional account wallet system that can be used to automate renewals. Funds added to your wallet will be automatically applied toward future invoices whenever sufficient balance is available.
Wallet balances are non-refundable and may only be used for Velotek services. Customers may switch between wallet-based billing and manual invoice payments at any time through the client area.
If neither sufficient wallet funds nor a confirmed manual payment are available by the invoice due date and grace period expiration, Velotek may suspend or terminate the affected service.
Service Suspension and Termination
Velotek reserves the right to suspend or terminate any service, account, or server at its sole discretion where necessary to protect the platform, its users, or its infrastructure.
Reasons for suspension or termination may include, but are not limited to:
- Violation of the Acceptable Use Policy
- Fraudulent activity or payment disputes
- Non-payment of invoices
- Excessive resource consumption that negatively impacts other customers
- Excessive bandwidth usage beyond agreed limits
- Activities that expose Velotek to legal, operational, or financial risk
Where practical, reasonable efforts will be made to notify customers and resolve issues before termination occurs.
Acceptable Use Policy
Customers are free to use their servers for a wide range of legitimate purposes. However, the following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam)
- Activities that result in blacklisting by Spamhaus or similar organizations
- Unauthorized port scanning, banner scanning, or aggressive network probing
- Hosting, distributing, or facilitating access to child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Activities that violate applicable laws in the jurisdiction where the server is located
Tor exit relays and privacy-focused services are permitted, provided they otherwise comply with these terms and applicable law.
Legal Compliance
Privacy and freedom are important principles at Velotek. However, customers remain solely responsible for ensuring that their activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
If we determine that a service is being used in violation of applicable law, these Terms of Service, or our Acceptable Use Policy, we may request corrective action, suspend the service, or terminate access depending on the circumstances.
Customers operating platforms that host user-generated content are expected to promptly remove unlawful content upon receiving valid notice.
Resource Usage
VPS resources are intended for normal operation within the limits of the purchased plan. Customers may utilize their allocated resources as needed; however, usage that significantly impacts other customers or creates unreasonable operational costs may require intervention.
Service termination for excessive resource consumption is considered a last resort. Whenever possible, Velotek will work with customers to resolve issues through optimization, upgrades, or alternative solutions before taking enforcement action.
Changes to These Terms
Velotek may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Thank you for choosing Velotek.
